Manufactured in Australia from Virgin Resins and UV Stabilizers – so you know they will last usually more than 2 years even in harsh UV climates. We supply many countries with our bags and growers experience fantastic results.
Many other brands rely on the carbon content of the black plastic to protect from the sun’s rays, but this is usually not enough and the bags break down much too early in the plant’s life. The bags require the mixing of the correct amount of high quality UV additive.

Our 0.52 Gallon Plant Grow Bag has the following drainage hole configuration;
Each bag has five to six holes per side. There is at least one hole at the base, two at the shoulder, and two up the side, providing you with adequate drainage in a normal situation.

If the planter bag you receive appears smaller than expected, don’t worry yet. Check the ‘lay-flat’ measurements shown in this listing – the actual measurements of the bag when it is laying flat, exactly as you receive it.
The first step is to compare the bag you received with the flat measurements provided in this listing (not the filled dimensions) to ensure you have been sent the correct product.
If you are still unsure, you can easily verify the bag’s capacity using an online volume calculator. To do this, use the filled bag dimensions, which are also provided in this listing.
For example, once a 2.1 Quart bag is filled with potting mix, the dimensions are approximately:
- Top Diameter: 4.7 inches (120mm)
- Height/Depth: 6.9 inches (175mm)
Simply search online for a cylinder volume calculator and enter the diameter and height measurements. Most calculators will ask for these dimensions in either inches or centimeters.
After entering the measurements, the calculated volume should be approximately 1.98 Liter (1,979 cm³) or 2.1 US Quarts.
Container sizes can often be deceiving. Everyday items such as milk jugs, soft drink bottles, and buckets have tapered sides, curves, and narrow necks that make it difficult to accurately judge volume by appearance alone. Even a standard household bucket may look much larger or smaller than its actual capacity.
In smaller containers especially, even a slight change in dimensions can make a significant difference to the overall volume.
